Shafting Modeling And Torsional Mode Analysis of Large Turbo Generator Sets

In view of the complexity of the torsional vibration of the large-scale turbo-generator shafting, our study adds the shafts of other parts of the generator on the basis of simplifying the rotor part of the generator, and the complete shafting model with windings was established by Pro/E software. And then the established shafting model with winding was imported into ANSYS Workbench software, and the torsional vibration modal analysis of the model was performed by using the finite element method. The model was compared with the non-winding model and the detailed modeling and simulation steps are given. It will lay the foundation for the further study of the winding model.
